Therezhundur is situated between Mayavaram and Kumbakonam before You reach aduthurai about 12 kms from Mayavaram you can see an ONGC station turn left and travel for 2 kms you will come to the Village centre . the vishnu temple is very huge and majestic having recently been renovated with a huge brimming temple pond
I remember the temple in ruins during my last trip in 2006 and in 2008 the kumbhabishekam was completed and the pond renovated
The main sannidhi has
Mahavishnu, garudan, Markandeya rishi and prahlada
(prahaladha is on the extreme left and hence not seen in this pic)
The utsava murthy is very unique in that between sridevi , And the lord is the cow and a small calf in front as can be seen above
The “go sakha” being adoringly looked at by the calf
The thayar here is Sri Senkamalavalli Thayar. She has a separate sannidhi as seen below
